"Flykickz by Dez"

-About FlyKickz-

FlyKickz is A SNEAKER customizing company by me...Dez. The idea of Flykickz is to make wearable sneaker art and have every design take on a personality of it's own. I provide designs that are handpainted on many classic style sneakers. I Do NOT limit what I can create and I continue to think outside the box.
A Lil Q&A with Dez

Q: When did you start FlyKickz?
FK: Late December 2006

Q:What is your art background? Did you go to school, Did you teach your self?
FK: I never really took a lot of art classes or went to school for art but I’ve always been into the craft as a whole whether it was music, paintings or merely pictures on a wall. I was always been a creative person, it was just a matter of finding the right canvas an I found that with sneakers which allowed me to just implement some of the things I already knew.

Q: What keeps you focused?
FK: My family, friends and my work itself definitely helps keep me focused. I believe it has a lot to do with me wanting to be the best that I can be at what I do. I continue to have that drive everyday which pushes me to keep researching, learning and most of all stay focused on my ultimate goal.

Q: Do you plan to just stick with doing shoes or Do you want to start you own clothing line in the future?
FK: I love what I do with sneakers, it allows me to creatively express myself on the soles of peoples feet but in the future I look forward to adding to FlyKickz and becoming somewhat of a template.

Dez puts her stamp on the shoe game with her unique and spontaneous style.... I'm looking foward to seeing Flykickz become a househlod name. Keep ya swagg up Dez I see you!!! Salena was born and raised in the capital of germany: Berlin. Being very sensitive about visual things and sounds she developted a special interest for those things. All this stuck with her until today and became a form of expression. At the age of 14 Salena´s art teacher recognized the talent, gave her confidence, showed her how to “work” with it and taughther all the important basics about different techniques, color, composition. In highschool Salena painted posters for events or made illustrations for year books. Salena started to be interested in graphic Design when she was 19 and had a first major job, which was sketching a logo for a music group, that went number one about 7 years later. After taking a long break because of several reasons, she found her way back to art, especially for simply drawing and traditional painting, through music and writing. She says, that besides music drawing is what she really loves and what makes her feel complete. Checkout more of her work at (http://www.myspace.com/afua81 )!!!!
